Dying?
I read this in a newspaper, a blog is like a plant.
Just like a plant without any water would eventuallly die, a blog without any comments dies.
I have just killed 2 of my blogs.
One dedicated to Jimi Hendrix and other a PJ blog.
Now i only have 3 blogs and plan to keep them alive.

Long time
Its been a long time since i update this blog.
Same has been about my guitar classes. I could not always go and was thats why i was losing my touch.
But i revisited my music teacher and started them again. I am still on the fretboard and cannot play any songs yet while other guys and gals who had joined with or after me are onto songs already.
After fretboard i would move on to learning Scales and then some basic songs.
I guess the first song would be "Ajeeb dastan hai yeh....". An old hindi song,which i think is pretty easy to play. (Better said then done...)
Thats about it....

What am i learning now?
Right now i am learning to do the spiders still!!
They are tough!
Spiders are those when you move your fingers one string down and one fret to right
Also now i have to do it in reverse
I mean normal spider is like this

Guitar
Why?
Why of all things did i want to learn guitar.
Well, since i was getting bored and i came to knew that my ,now, ex-boss is a great guitarist, so i said why not lets try guitaring as a hobby.
Already i was listening to Bryan Adams songs!!
So one fine day i shelled out Rs. 1700 and bought a Givson G-125 acoustic guitar from his friend.
That was when and how i started learnign guitar.
A friend of mine, Venkat Rakesh, then introduced me to music from groups like Iron Maiden, Metallica (i was / am in love with Nothing Else Matters, but he told me abt songs like One, Unforgiven) and lots and lots of other rock groups!!
Ok! So what now?
So after i left that job, i was stagnant as far as guitaring goes....i visited some sites like Fender Players and others, took some printouts..but that was all....no practice...
My G-125 was eating dust
This is where again Rakesh came in and said "Hey", I know one guy in Mulund who teaches me drums and has other guys coming to him for guitar.....So i said "Why not!!"
So now i am learning my basic guitar under guidance of Anand Menon.
How far have I came...?
Well, its been about 8 months since i have joined the class, i go there every Sunday and have flunked a couple of times (6-8 times to be exact)
Right now i am learning to do spiders, i.e. move my fingers up and down the track of frets!!!
Where to...?
From here i will be learning scales, and then some basic tunes of Hindi songs
Wish me luck...
